Around the World in 80 Days - TurkeyI think this is the floor of the set. Cool.

The other day I wrote about the B Street Theatre taking Around the World in 80 Days to India. Well my assault on Asia continues with the opening of Around the World in 80 Days at Erzurum State Theatre in Erzurum, Turkey. (Before you start yelling that I’m geographically challenged, Turkey is a transcontinental country with an Asian–European boundary. You see? This site is educational as well).

First Translation of Around the World in 80 Days

I’m really excited about this production, as it marks the first time a play of mine has been translated into a different language. Although Google may have beaten the Erzurum State Theatre to the punch with a translation into a different language. I use Chrome for my browser and when I click on the Erzurum State Theatre link for the show, this is what Googles translates Around the World in 80 Days into 80 Day Cycle World. Awesome. And here’s the description of the play:

1872 London … With a full eccentric English gentleman, Mr. Phileas Fogg 80 days to circumnavigate the globe on a possible visit, and to this end a bet whatever is on hand exposes the hunter. In this crazy adventure is accompanied by his faithful servant Passepartout. Together to overcome three continents and four oceans, stretching from London to the Wild West will be an extraordinary journey. Trains will run to ship will travel even if an elephant! However, as you race against time is a barrier against them were not aware of: convince himself that Fogg was an outlaw and Detective Fix is in advance of this trip is to do its utmost to prevent. Fogg is on this journey in life never known another adventure awaits: Love … 5 players dozens of different roles to life these immersive, fun and crazy adventures you too will be drawn into and around the world fantastic, dangerous and surprising journey to make.

So it looks like Google wins for first non-English translation.
