I’m honored that selected scenes from my play The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge will be part of the holiday show J.R. Sullivan’s Hometown Holiday.
J.R. is an old dear friend of mine and I’m thrilled to be part of his show.
J.R. Sullivan’s Hometown Holiday will be at the Sullivan Theater (yes, the theatre is named after J.R. How awesome is that?) at the Nordlof Center (old New American Theater) in downtown Rockford, IL.
The popular holiday variety show produced and presented by J.R. Sullivan of New American Theatre fame, features holiday inspired storytelling, comedy and popular songs. This year’s performances will mark the 18th holiday season since 1994 that Sullivan has presented his show featuring a talented cast of actors and musicians from Rockford and Chicago.
“Our show’s recipe remains the same for tradition’s sake,” said Sullivan. “We blend music – from jazz, folk, pop and holiday favorites with comedy and good old fashioned storytelling, usually with a local twist. We have a talented and diverse cast of folks who absolutely love working together and doing this show – and for me, it’s a cherished opportunity to come back home for a hometown holiday. It’s an honor to again look forward to performing on the stage that now bears my name.”
Showtimes are Friday, December 13 at 7:30PM and Saturday, December 14 at 3:00PM and 8:00PM. Tickets are $30 and may be purchased by calling the BMO Harris Bank Center at 815-968-5222 or visiting ticketmaster.com
