“Mrs. Claus Ain’t Got Nothing on Me” is my #7 song in my 25 Days of Christmas Songs list. This song sounds like it just leaped out of the film Jackie Brown. It’s got that old-school r&b sound I love so much.

“Mrs. Claus Ain’t Got Nothing on Me” is by Little Jackie, a duo consisting of Imani Coppola and Adam Pallin. Little Jackie got their name from the 1989 hit song “Little Jackie Wants to Be a Star” by Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam. Who remembers them? Anyone? I sure do. I must be old.

Target, of all places, used “Mrs. Claus Ain’t Got Nothing on Me” in one of its commercials back in 2010.

And what’s not to love about this song? Any song that has the line “A boom-boom bap in a snap that’s a wrap pow pow shazam shazap that’s a wrap” is a classic in my book.
