Meadow Brook Theatre Goes Around the World
Meadow Brook Theatre opened its season with my play Around the World in 80 Days. I’m always excited when a theatre decides to do one of my shows and I’m extra excited when it’s the first show of the season. I pray fiercely that the show kicks off a successful season.
Meadow Brook Theatre’s season seems to be getting off on the right foot. A couple of reviews have come out and they’re quite nice.
Here’s what’s being said:
“The result is a hilarious show that is full of clever surprises – fully earning the standing ovation it received on opening night!” ~ The Examiner
“This show is visually spectacular and one of the most entertaining family-friendly productions you are likely to see!” ~ The Examiner
“Pure fun and laughter!” ~ Encore Michigan
“For viewers in the mood for visual delights, the thrall of a good old story, or just plain onstage silliness, this show is well worth the trip.” ~ Encore Michigan
And my secretly favorite one:
“Meadow Brook Theatre’s “Around the World in 80 Days” uses an adaptation by Mark Brown – with a script that feels truer to the original Verne story than any of the films released under the same name.” ~ The Examiner
The Creative Team
Below is the creative team who made this production possible. I’m not sure why Kara Kimmer is playing a waitress. It’s not in the script. Hmm.
