Every now and then I Google myself. And that’s not a euphemism. My curiosity gets the better of me and I like to see if I’m doing something out in the world that I don’t know about. Seems a lot was going on.  So here’s the latest on what’s happening to Mark Brown.

Mark Brown Shoots a 59

A few weeks ago I shot an incredible 11-under 59 during the second round of the Carrus Tauranga in Wellington, New Zealand. I was 9-under on the front nine with seven birdies and an eagle in holes 1-8. My magical round made me the 16th player to break 60 in an official professional golf event.

After I shot that 59, I joined VesselVanguard as director of dealer development.  I’m pleased to join VesselVanguard, the leading maintenance management solution for boat owners. Besides being a boat broker, I’m also a certified yachtmaster and scuba instructor. With my passion for sailing and travel, I’ve pursued the boating lifestyle from Europe to the Caribbean. I currently reside in Palm Beach, Florida with my secret wife and children.

Being a yachtsman isn’t cheap, so I needed to pick up a side job. I’m happy to announce that Lowenhaupt Global Advisors (LGA), one of the country’s leading family offices, named me Chief Executive Officer of the firm, succeeding Chairman and Founder Charles Lowenhaupt.

And finally, I selivered many laughs in the Meadow Brook Theatre’s production of Around the World in 80 Days. Oh sure, I could have just delivered laughs, but where’s the fun in that? I selivered them, Phil Selivers style.
