I can’t stop watching this video of an Italian nun on The Voice of Italy. Sister Cristina, 25, shocked judges J-Ax, Noemi, Piero Pelù and Raffaella Carrà with her version Alicia Keys’ song No One.

I love everything about this video. First off, I love Sister Cristina. She’s fantastic and she looks so at ease in front of an audience. As one of the judges said, “If I had found you at Mass I would always be in church.” Sister Cristina makes Maria from The Sound of Music look like a Quaker. You can have your Lonely Goatherd. I’ll take anything Sister Cristina wants to sing. She has so much talent and yet she has chosen to live such a humble life. Remarkable.

I love watching the nuns bounce as they watch their fellow sister perform. They must rock Ave Maria. And when the chairs start to turn they start crying in happiness.

Then there’s the reaction of the judges as they spin around and discover a nun is on The Voice. The reactions are priceless. Raffaella Carrà’s face as she turns around is not to be missed. But nothing beats J-Ax’s reaction.

Which brings me to J-Ax. His reaction to Sister Cristina is amazing. The bad boy rapper looks like the spirit of God is coursing through his body. And this from a guy who has a song called F**k You. But then again, those Italians take their religion seriously. J-Ax is overwhelmed. He has tears in his eyes the entire time. And what’s not to love about his reaction at the 1:12 mark? Amazing. Unbelievable. Pure joy.

Asked why she came on The Voice, Sister Cristina said, “I have a gift and I’m giving it to you.”

Sister Cristina said if anyone turned their chair she was going to choose the first one to turn. J-Ax was the first to turn so now it’s the rapper and the nun. Or as J-Ax said, “You and me are like the devil and holy water.”
