Batman Screen Test

When I was a kid I was a huge fan of the Batman series. I mean, really, what was not to love? The show was campy, kitschy, and had those great "bam" and "pow" graphics. The show also had the best actors playing villains: Milton Berle, Vincent Price, Roddy McDowall, Burgess Meredith, Cesar Romero, to name just a few. Adam West and Burt Ward were terrific as Batman and Robin. But what if Batman and Robin had been [...]

Another Review of Around the World in 80 Days

Here's another review of the Off-Broadway production of my show Around the World in 80 Days. "There’s a lot to like here, and young audiences especially should get a kick out of this tour de force. I don’t know how long it’s going to run, but, if I were you, I wouldn’t wait 80 days to see it."

Bacon American Pie

Nothing says "America" quite like bacon. And nothing says "Happy Birthday America" quite like a bacon American flag. I can't for the life of me figure out how to embed the video but the link is here.

Josh Segarra Joins Cast of Around the World in 80 Days

Since it just came out in Playbill I can now say that Josh Segarra is joining the cast of Around the World in 80 Days. Josh replaces Bryce Ryness, who is going into the Broadway musical First Date. Bryce was awesome in my show and I wish him loads of broken legs on First Date. Josh starts on July 2. He recently starred as Boland in the Off-Broadway musical Dogfight at Second Stage Theater, directed by Joe Mantello. He has appeared in the Emmy-winning Showtime [...]

Creede Repertory – A Smokin’ Good Time!

The Creede Repertory Theatre PR department must be having a field day. Wildfires are blazing around the theatre and yet the shows are still going on. "The Hottest Ticket in Theatre!" "Surefire Hits!" "Creede Repertory - A Smokin' Good Time!" The ideas are endless. There's a great article in the Denver Post about the theatre and how they are dealing with the fires. There's a great video with the article. I just can't figure out how to post it here. [...]

Wildfires Are For Pansies

Creede Repertory Theatre in Creede, CO has taken the old adage "the show must go on" and changed it to "wildfires are for pansies!" Despite three raging wildfires in Southern Colorado, the theatre is still opening my show Around the World in 80 Days tonight. Wildfires are for pansies! And exactly how do you get to the theatre? A police escort! "Highway 149 between South Fork and Creede is open to escorted traffic from 8AM to 10PM. Travelers going up [...]
