Pendragon Theatre
I got an email the other day from an old friend of mine and sent this picture with the caption, “Where I am today.”
I’m not sure if he lost a bet but I was glad he was there.
Bucolic Lake Saranac.
Turns out it was a production of Around the World in 80 Days at the Pendragon Theatre in “It’s So Far North It Might As Well Be Canada” Lake Saranac, NY.
From reading a review of the show, looks like the theatre put together a great production.
“Mark Brown’s staged version of Around the World in 80 Days currently playing at Pendragon Theatre is a first class ticket to a fun, whirlwind comedy.”
Thanks to everyone at Pendragon Theatre for producing one of my shows.
And it turns out that my friend who was at my show is in Pendragon’s next show, Amadeus. So if you’re near Lake Saranac and missed out on the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating competition, go see my friend John Nicholson put on an epic scenery chewing performance as Salieri.
Nail down the scenery. This man is coming to devour it.
Deertrees Theatre
Deertrees Theatre in Harrison, ME (right by Crystal Lake and the aptly named Long Lake) just produced Around the World in 80 Days.
Too bad I couldn’t have seen it. I could have combined it with a visit to the Pendragon Theatre and called it my “Wow this is Almost Canada” tour.
Deertrees is celebrating its 80 Anniversary. It was “originally built as the most acoustically perfect opera house outside of New York in 1936.” Beautiful.
Thank you, everyone at Deertrees, for producing one of my shows. I really appreciate it.
The Crescent Theatre
I found out that the Crescent Theatre in “kicked out of Europe” Birmingham, United Kingdom is doing a small tour of Around the World in 80 Days. Every town sounds so incredibly English. Head on out to Kidderminster this coming weekend to catch the production.
Thanks one and all at The Crescent Theatre.
