Here’s the Cast for Tom Jones the Musical

The other day I posted about our return to the Rockwell Table and Stage to perform more songs from Tom Jones the Musical.

We’ve put together a fantastic group of actors.

Wilkie Ferguson

Most of my musical theatre friends live in NYC, so I have to do some trolling out here in LA. I looked up musicals in LA and came across Spamilton. Wilkie was in the cast. I scoured ye olde internet for video on him and found this video from Postmodern Jukebox. I then found a friend who knows Wilkie and he put me in touch with him. I was surprised and honored that Wilkie said yes. I love everything about this video.

Eric B Anthony

I got Eric’s name from my friend Amy, who has worked with him before. I watched about 10 seconds of one of his videos and said, “how do I get in touch with him!?”

Miatta Lebile

I went to see a friend of mine perform in a Mostly Musicals show at Vitellos (Where Robert Blake had his wife killed) and Miatta blew me away. I knew I wanted to work with her on something. The girl who was originally cast as Sophie had to drop out because of a scheduling conflict and I was able to get Miatta to come on board.

Jennifer Sun Bell

Jennifer performed with us back in September. I first met her when she did a show with my daughter at East West Players. I thought she was terrific and I’m incredibly lucky to have her again on this the project. I guess her time with us the first time didn’t suck too much.
