Sriracha fans hold on to your taste buds. Huy Fong Foods, the makers of Sriracha, is now offering free tours of its new 650,000-square-foot factory in Irwindale. Holy Willy Wonka!
The Sriracha Cookbook Blog posted a letter it received from Huy Fong Foods. In the letter, the company explains how their new facility is ready to received visitors.
“If you are interested in seeing how our Sriracha is made and how delicious is smells, we would cordially like to invite you, at your convenience, to see our facility.”
I love the “how delicious is smells” part. As you may well know, last October a judge ordered a partial shutdown of the plant after the city of Irwindale sued Huy Fong Foods claiming it was a public nuisance. People of Irwindale were complaining of sore throats, nosebleeds and burning eyes. Nosebleeds shnosebleeds. The Sriracha Nation needs its hot sauce.
Tours are Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 3:00. Call 626. 286. 8328 to schedule an appointment.
